Numerous  artifacts, books, newspaper clippings, uniforms and much more from the  Civil War to present have been donated, collected and organized in the MCHS  museum’s Military Room.

The Military  Board of Honor was started in 2010 to show honor and respect to Macon  County veterans past, present and future.  We have over 600 names,  information and photos on our Military Boards of Honor, and still more  are coming in.  To honor your service member, Please click here to download and fill out a Military Service  form to be added to the military board and book.

Our service members are very dear to us, and we invite you to walk through history in the  Military Room to read about their stories.
