Macon County historian, Merlyn Amidei, offers tours of historic places and sites of Macon and/or Bevier.  Those wanting a tour may choose the points of interest they wish to see and the length of time they want to spend on the tour or tours. 
 
She has also written two history books about Macon entitled "The Couch Potato's Guide to Macon City and Hudson."  Both Volume I and II are hardbound with acid free 8.5" X 11" pages, completely indexed for easy reference, and written as a tour with a map provided in each volume.  The books contain a total of 384 pages, 700 pictures and over 400 old ads!
