Welcome to the M.C.H.S. Living History Project. We want to preserve our living history of Macon County. You can help by e-mailing Sally Watts, Vicky Cody, or Janis Diamond with your answers to the questions below, or we would be thrilled to come video record you telling us about the good ole days. Those towns now gone can come alive with your memories. Your grandchildren & other generations to come will be delighted to see & hear all about you!!!

What were the days like before electricity & running water (how did you bathe before then) ?

What kind of celebrating did you do after the wedding?
Did you go on a honeymoon?
When did you buy your first car?
What kind was it ?
How much did it cost?
Where was your first house as a married couple?
Do you remember when someone died , how they were laid out & how things were ?
What were the prices of gas, food, houses, land when you were growing up & first married?
Did you have children?
Where were the children born?
Who was the doctor?
Who are your children & grandchildren?
What do you remember about the different towns nearby?
How much did it cost to see a doctor or dentist?
What could you tell them that would surprise them about you ?
What piece of advice would you give them?
Do you remember anyone talking about Col. Blees & his Military Academy, & all that he did for this city ?
Do you remember when Still-Hildreth Osteopathic Sanitorium took over the building ?
Do you have anything or things  that you would like to be placed on display in the Macon County Historical Society Museum (commonly known as the Blee's Annex ) ?
